THE THEME
On Friday the thirteenth, a day veiled in shadow, guests of the PTS gala shall don the attire of yesteryear and step into the mystery and intrigue of the masquerade ball. Guests may provide their own disguise, or purchase a mask at the entrance (masquerade attire is optional). Awe-inspiring scenes of carnivale-esque indulgence play out against a backdrop of high class, culminating in an evening like no other.

THE ENTERTAINMENT
Summoned from far and wide, an extravagant blend of street performers, entertainers and musicians shall assemble to weave an atmosphere of revelry and excitement. Bask in the strange chords of vagabond music, or gape in awe at the spectacle of impromptu acrobatics. Only the most skilled entertainers have been selected for this evening of decadence.

THE VENUE
Bearing a timeless and stately grace, the University of Ottawa’s Tabaret Hall shall play host to this year’s gala. Guests enter under the ornate trim and grand columns of classical architecture, and are immersed in the enticing beauty of a century past.

THE CAUSE
Intrinsic to the continuation of PTS programs and services, the funds amassed from the gala ensure that the noble mission of supporting our communities may flourish and blossom. Far more than simply the most anticipated social event of the season, the PTS gala arises to serve and honour Ottawa’s gay,
lesbian, bisexual, trans, two-spirit, and queer communities.
